by Envinite
In 2018 I released my first ever music project titled Fab, under artist name Envinite. I’ve been using FL Studio and Ableton for some time for sound editing for video project, with many attempt to create original track but most left unfinished.
Fab’s genre is somewhere around Electronica, combining Trance and Progressive House-y like, I guess.
Year: 2018
Chord Progression
The entire composition revolves around this lead chord progression, layered with 4 lead tracks rich in delay and reverb effects, stacked with arpeggiator MIDI effect to make arrangement sounds more dynamic despite using the same recycled progression from start to end.
Bass & Drums
Meanwhile for bass & sub are kept simple with more of a house-genre rythm, accompanied with kicks and percussive samples arranged with drum rack.
Second Drop Hooks
To make arrangement sounds more exciting, several hooks were added in combination with automation, giving a dynamic transition in between arrangement. Typically I added hook per 8 to 16 bar beats, using automation on the reverb and cut-off control on the leads to give that ‘bbbzzzzzt’ efect. Not bad for a first release song, no?
Composed in Ableton with a hefty use of Serum samples by Xfer Records. Audio mixing and mastering done by myself utilizing a stupid amount of FX modules including iZotope Ozone.
